Self-reflect and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional performance to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses and adjust accordingly to reach maximum effectiveness.Communicate effectively with a variety of audiences including communicating student progress in a timely and professional manner.Work as an effective member of the grade level/course team to evaluate and improve student learning.Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures in accordance with the policies and procedures of the school building and the district.Provide a safe, positive and effective environment that reflects and facilitates learning.Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations.Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.Provide opportunities for students to self reflect and track progress toward learning goals.Continually assess student progress, and implement effective lessons to meet individual student learning needs as determined by student assessment data.Observe and evaluate student's performance and development and provide appropriate feedback on work utilizing methods such as assigning and grading class work, homework, tests and assignments.Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in learning activities and instruct and monitor students in the use of such.Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.Provide for large and small group and individualized instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.Develop and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials that allow students to utilize and practice higher level thinking skills. Perform teaching responsibilities and accountability procedures as required by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Special Education Law.
